All these albums have been remastered at Abbey Road, so the sound is perfect for real listening comfort. The music is magnificent, we can suspect, less rock than during Dire Straits, more folk-country-blues, more acoustic, a way for Knopfler to return to its roots. And of course, his brilliant guitar flies over everything, a way to play only the important notes, especially not to flood the listener under a deluge of music, notes capable of taking you on a trip immediately (A place where we used to live for example, on The ragpicker's dream), to set you up a landscape, an atmosphere. In this, Knopfler is one of the best guitarists of his generation. Throughout the albums, we meet guests like James Taylor and Van Morrison (on Sailing to Philadelphia).
