Buttery smooth but retains plenty of power and a raw rasp to convey emotion when needed.
This album is nicely recorded for a live show and the orchestra add a level of grandeur which really brings some songs alive, other quieter songs sound beautiful with simple accompaniment from his own band.
"I wonder who my Daddy is" is a particularly emotional performance and so beautiful because of it.
