Packing Vinyl LP Records for Safe & Secure Mail Order Travel

How we package your vinyl records for safe delivery.

 

1. Remove the vinyl record from its jacket (sleeve) and place on the sleeve, this is done to prevent splitting the sleeve spine during transit.

2. Next we place the record and sleeve into a waterproof cellophane sleeve to protect it from water (the elements).

3. Next it goes onto a purpose cardboard stiffener, then another stiffener is placed on top, so its now sandwiched between the card stiffeners, this helps prevent the record from getting bent during transit. (Occasionally we also tape the edges).

4. Then its into the mailing sleeve, most domestic shipping we use 650g purpose Lp mailers, sometimes normally with expensive or international deliveries we use purpose made box mailers.

5. Finally we put 'Do Not Bend' stickers on the mailer.
