The Who are a British rock band formed in 1964 in London, consisting of Roger Daltrey (vocals), Pete Townshend (guitar, songwriting), John Entwistle (bass), and Keith Moon (drums). They became one of the most influential rock bands of all time, known for their explosive live performances, powerful anthems, and pioneering use of rock operas.

Their early hits, like My Generation (1965) and Substitute (1966), helped define the mod and hard rock movements. They gained further fame with albums like Tommy (1969), a groundbreaking rock opera, Who's Next (1971), featuring Baba O’Riley and Behind Blue Eyes, and Quadrophenia (1973).

Keith Moon died in 1978, and John Entwistle passed in 2002, but Daltrey and Townshend continue to perform as The Who. With their legacy of innovation and raw energy, they remain one of rock’s greatest bands.
