The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, consisting of Jim Morrison (vocals), Ray Manzarek (keyboard), Robby Krieger (guitar), and John Densmore (drums). They were one of the most influential and controversial bands of the late 1960s and early 1970s, known for their psychedelic, blues-influenced sound and poetic, often dark lyrics.
