Rare Vinyl Records are records that have become very scarce over the years, but even fairly common records are rare if they are in like new condition, unfortunately seeing common albums at high prices can drive the price of that album up, when the high price should only be for a copy that has survived for decades and still looks like new. 

1st Pressings are also very important, as many albums have been reissued numerous times, and it's the first pressing that is normally the rarest, there are many factors and checks that need to be done to determine that it is a 1st Pressing.
