Oasis was a British rock band formed in 1991 in Manchester, led by brothers Liam Gallagher (vocals) and Noel Gallagher (guitar, songwriting). They became one of the biggest bands of the 1990s Britpop movement.

Their 1994 debut album, Definitely Maybe, featuring Supersonic and Live Forever, became a massive success. Their follow-up, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? (1995), with hits like Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back in Anger, made them global superstars.

Despite continued success, conflicts between the brothers led to frequent tensions. Oasis split in 2009 when Noel left the band. Liam went on to form Beady Eye, while Noel launched Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

Oasis remains one of the best-selling British bands ever, with a lasting influence on rock music.
